Collaboration with Technical University of Crete

New Collaborative Project

We’re excited to share our latest collaboration with Technical University of Crete (TUC) and the Department of Production and Management Engineering (Intelligent Systems and Robotics Lab).

By leveraging selective laser melting (SLM) from Intech Additive Solutions and topology optimization, we’ve manufactured a cutting-edge motor mount base for the TUCer team. This 3D printed component not only fits seamlessly into an existing structure but also significantly reduces weight, enhancing the performance of their prototype electric vehicles. By analyzing the real load conditions and applying topology optimization, TUC team designed a reliable motor mount base that fits seamlessly into an existing structure. This part was 3D printed via SLM/LPBF, significantly reducing its weight.

Since 2007, the TUCer team has been pioneering the design, construction, and racing of prototype electric vehicles with low consumption and zero emissions, utilizing hydrogen as fuel. This team, composed of students and research staff, is dedicated to environmentally friendly motoring and passionate about motor sports.
